[email protected]FAQ
How do I sign in?
Enter the email for the restaurant and tap Email me a link. Type the 6-digit code from the email. On iPhone, if OrderWalk is on the Home Screen, type the code in the app. The link opens Safari. You can still open the link in the browser. One email is one restaurant. There is no password.
How do I share an order?
Open the list and tap Send. Copy link, Text, or Email shares the order. Anyone with the link can see the lines still to order: name, quantity, unit, and notes. Prices and photos stay off the link. Stop sharing turns the link off. New link replaces it, so the old link stops working.
How do I use par, or turn par off?
In Settings, under Par levels, choose Yes or No. Yes keeps par and Fill from par on screen. No hides them. Orders stay the same, and a par you already saved stays saved. With par on, a count below par orders enough to reach par. With par off, check the item on its storage list to add it to the vendor order.
What are the tips?
Short notes show once: how to enter what you have on hand, how a check adds the item to the vendor order, how Send shares the list, where to set a reminder, and where Lists, Orders, Reminders, and Settings are. The count notes follow whether par is on. Tap Got it to dismiss a note. In Settings, under Tips, Show tips again brings them back.
How do reminders work?
Owners and managers set them on the Reminders tab. Which list? is All lists, or one storage area or vendor. List names show in capitals. A count reminder names the days and a time, such as Count WALK-IN Mon/Thu 9:00 AM, or Count all lists Mon/Thu 9:00 AM. An order reminder names the order day and a cutoff, such as Order from SYSCO by 2:00 PM Tue. That one is sent only if the order still has lines and has not been sent. The notification names the list. Tapping it opens that list. All lists opens the lists. Each person turns delivery on or off for their own phone. Counters receive count reminders only. On an iPhone, add OrderWalk to the Home Screen (iOS 16.4 or later) or the push will not arrive. If a push does not arrive, the app shows a banner you can dismiss. The demo shows a sample and sends nothing.
How do backups work?
In Settings, Export backup downloads two files to this device: a JSON file of lists, items, the catalog, and pars, and a CSV of every item. The files stay on this device. Order history is not in the backup. Delete account and Leave this team offer the same download before you confirm.
How do I delete my account?
The owner opens Settings, then Delete account. The page names the restaurant and lists what will be deleted: lists, items, counts, prices, order history, team memberships, and share links. Download a backup, then type DELETE. If another restaurant remains, the sign-in stays. A manager or counter sees Leave this team for the restaurant they have open. That removes only their membership there, and their sign-in if this is their only restaurant. It does not delete the owner's data. The demo has no delete control. If you cannot open Settings, email us from the account address.
